CAEP ACCOUNTABILITY MEASURES: OVERVIEW
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) outlines four annual reporting measures for the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) requirements that are used to provide information to the public on both program impact and program outcomes.
These CAEP accountability measures are outlined below:
Measure 1: Completer Impact and Effectiveness (Initial Licensure Programs) can be found here. These data are provided by the TN State Board of Education on Carson-Newman University’s most recent Educator Preparation Report Card.
Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement (Initial and Advanced Licensure Programs) can be found here. These data are a combination of data provided by C-N’s Department of Education and the most recent Educator Preparation Report Card.
Measure 3: Candidate Competency at Program Completion (Initial and Advanced Licensure Programs) can be found here. These data are compiled from institutional resources and represent candidates’ licensure exam scores compared to state and national means.
Measure 4: Ability to Completers to be Hired in Education Positions for Which They Have Been Prepared (Initial Licensure Programs) can be found here. These data are provided by the TN State Board of Education on Carson-Newman University’s most recent Educator Preparation Report Card.
