Program Overview
The Sport Management major at Carson-Newman University offers a distinctive blend of comprehensive sports industry knowledge and a values-based education rooted in Christian principles. Students in this program engage in a curriculum that covers essential aspects of sport management, including sports marketing, event planning, facility management, and sports law. What sets our program apart is the intentional integration of faith into the study of sports business, encouraging students to explore ethical considerations and compassionate leadership within the dynamic world of sports. Whether learning about the intricacies of sports finance or the social responsibility of sports organizations, students gain a holistic perspective that extends beyond the playing field.
Emphasis is placed on character development, integrity, and service, with opportunities for students to apply their skills in the community through sports-related outreach and service projects. With a global outlook, a commitment to ethical leadership, and a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities within the sports industry, our Sport Management Major Program equips students to excel professionally while making a positive impact in the sports world guided by Christian values.
