同侪教导
同侪教导 is designed to help you understand difficult concepts and become confident with your knowledge, 一切都在轻松的环境中进行. Tutoring offers academic support in a variety of subjects. Our Peer Tutors are students just like you! This is a drop-in and virtual service, so just come when you want and leave when you are done.

The 同侪教导 program is a free program of support for all currently enrolled Carson-Newman undergraduate students. We offer 同侪教导 in undergraduate courses, and there is no charge to students. 同侪教导 meets weekly at regularly 时间表d times on the second floor of the library. The Peer Tutor is there to help any student who needs assistance in meeting their academic goals.
谁是同伴导师?
Our tutors are Carson-Newman students who are passionate about helping other students learn in a comfortable, 友好的, 对等环境. 我们的导师至少得了3分.0累积绩点, have an A or B in the course for which they tutor and have the recommendation of a C-N faculty member. Our tutors all complete a 同侪教导 training program accredited by the CRLA (College Recruiting & 学习协会.)

Who benefits from attending 同侪教导?
Any student who needs some assistance in a class will benefit. Whether you want to go from a “F” to a “C” or a “B” to an “A”, being a part of tutoring can be immensely helpful. Working with your tutor and others can lead to a greater understanding of the concepts you are trying to learn.

What will be expected of me if I become a Peer Tutor?
- Provide individual and group tutoring for approved subject areas and provide study strategies

- Attend training workshops and meetings as required
- Refer students to the Director if the student’s personal and/or academic needs are beyond the scope of the tutor’s expertise
